Frequently Asked Questions:
1. I got a speeding ticket in the Triangle area. What should I do?
Don't just pay that ticket! Paying it off will amount to a guilty plea and your insurance premiums will go up significantly (sometimes as much as 400%). Hire Triangle Traffic Law Group to handle your ticket and you'll save money, time and frustration.
2. How do I hire Triangle Traffic Law? It's easy!
On the homepage, click on our sign up and e-Sign agreement. Fill out your contact information and information about your case. e-Sign the form with your drivers' license number serving as your electronic signature. Then simply pay online using your credit card. That's it! We take it from there.
3. What is an e-Signature and is it legally binding?
The Global and National Commerce Electronic Signature Act (commonly referred to as the e-Sign Act) allows customers to e-Sign online documents using some type of mutually agreed upon identifier (here, your drivers' license number) to substiture as a pen and paper signature, yet giving it the same legally binding effect. More questions, read the e-Sign Act by clicking on the link on our homepage.
4. Will you ever ask me to pay more money?
If your speeding ticket includes other charges, such as speeding in a work zone, reaching excessive speeds, no inspection sticker, etc. then additional fees will apply. See our Pricing for more details.
5. Do I have to appear in court?
For most speeding tickets, no. You just need to sign or e-Sign the waiver of appearance and a Triangle Traffic lawyer will appear in court on your behalf. If your particular charge(s) requires you to appear in court, our office will notify you and remind you of the court date.
6. I already paid the ticket and my insurance premiums skyrocketed. Can you help?
Yes, we can file a Motion for Appropriate Relief on your behalf, and renegotiate with the Assistant District Attorney to get your speeding charges reduced. If your particular case requires it, we can also ask the court for a Prayer for Judgment Continued (PJC)
7. Do I need a Prayer for Judgment Continued (PJC)?
That depends on your driving record. We purchase and obtain a driving record for each of our clients. It will be carefully reviewed by a traffic attorney and if your particular case warrants the use of a PJC, the attorney will ask the judge to grant one to you. Obviously, the goal in every case is to preserve the PJC for future use, and it is only sought if that is the most appropriate way to acheive the best results in your case.
8. Do you handle other types of cases besides speeding tickets?
Yes. See our services page for more information. Call us for more information:
